Chinmaya Somnath Program Offerings

Bala Vihar programs

On a weekly basis, from the youngest Madhuram class to the Chinmayam class for high school youngsters, all Bala Vihar children participate in a variety of activities. The grade in which the child is enrolled in his/her school is the basis for placement in the appropriate Bala Vihar class.


Kalanjali is the cultural wing of Chinmaya Somnath and was inaugurated in April of 2015 to coincide with Shankara Jayanthi.

Kalanjali’s vision is to encourage youngsters and adults, by providing a place to showcase their talents and enthrall the audience. Kalanjali events are hosted at Chinmaya Somnath and are free to members and non-members.


Seva (voluntary work) performed by members to serve food during the every Sunday session. The food is prepared at the facility and sold at nominal charges to cover the expenses to members and guest attending the session. For more details, please contact us via email at . Bookstore and Library

Bookstore: Members and guests can take advantage to buy the Chinmaya Mission Publications. The book store has variety of the books written by our Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda, our pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda and other Swamiji's and Acharya's.

Library: Free service for registered Bala Vihar students. The books includes Panchatantra series, Vikram series, books covering Indian mythological and non Mythological stories, stories of great leaders, patriots, kings and kingdoms.
